You may have heard of resale rights, but there are different types of resale right you should be aware of. There are resale rights, basic resale rights, master resale rights, private label rights, give away rights, and royalty rights.

When you purchase a product with resale rights, this means that you can resale the product to others whether or not it is a digital product or a hard copy one. The advantage of someone purchasing resale rights is that they too can resale the product and are able to keep all the profits earned just as you did. These products can be resold to many people who may do the same.

There is another type of resale right which will allow you the purchaser to resale the product, but it will not allow the one who purchases from you to do the same. You will however, be allowed to keep all the profits from the sale. This is referred to as a basic resale right. With this type of right, the market will be a bit less flooded with duplicates.

Private label rights are a right the purchaser buys which allows for him to change the product in anyway he would like too. One can put their own name on the product, change it and make it completely new and original to them, sell it, or sell it for resale. The purchaser can use this product as if they had been the original creator, as well as change it so it is an original creation.

When one is giving a give away right, this is exactly as it implies. One can give this product to others for free. They cannot change it in anyway or sell it.

The last type of resale rights is what is referred to as royalty rights. With this type of right, you will purchase the product from the creator, and you will have the right to resale the product yourself. However, you must pay the creator a percentage of the sale price for each product you sale. Your customers are not transferred the right to resale the products. You are not allowed to change anything about the product you have purchased or are selling.

When you purchase product over the internet, be careful to read the terms and conditions. By doing so, you will know whether or not you are purchasing a product which has resale rights and if so, what type of resale rights are granted.
