For this woven Metal Scrap booking Cover Craft Project You Will Need:

Metal looking contact paper

Scrapbook

Epoxy glue

Tacks (optional)

Hammer (optional)

Tin Snips, scissors or pinking sheers

The first step is to buy your sheet metal look rolls of kitchen drawer liner contact paper from your local home improvement store or grocery store. I find long rolls of this soft shiny silvery metal looking contact paper all the time all the time. You can also find copper usually.

This sheet metal looking contact paper comes on a roll like fabric an is very thin.

Unroll your shiny metal contact paper and start cutting out strips. You can use tin sips, pinking sheers, or scissor. Any of these should work fine.

Now, Use one of those ready made scrapbooks you can buy at any craft store for the base of this project.

You wan to measure how large your scrapbook cover is and make your woven cover about four inches wider and taller.

Don't forget to cover both the front and back at the same time, so when you are measuring how wide you scrap book cover is lay the book open and face down flat. Measure all the way from left to right.

Now, remove the peel off backing from the strips of metal looking contact paper.

Weave them out to make the cover.

Lay this stick side up and place your scrap book on top.

Fold the extra ends over inside the cover of the scrapbook. Do any trimming if necessary.

To add a sparkle to your woven metal scrapbook cover you can rub a metallic paint onto the cover. Wipe it off with a clean dry cloth. Allow this to dry for at lest an hour. For a shiny touch try mixing one part gold paint with two parts glaze. Brush this over the entire cover. Wipe away any excess if necessary. Allow this to dry before you move on to the next step of this craft project.
