If you are like me, you love college basketball.especially when there is not any more football to watch. Don't get me wrong, I love to watch football. I grew up in a football town, a football state (OH! IO!), and what is truly a football nation.

But, there is something special about college basketball. Nothing compares to the grueling, 64 team tournament that decides who is at the top of the NCAA. It is the only sport where Jamestown has a legitimate shot to beat Georgetown, and why people know where George Mason is located. David can beat Goliath and Valpo actually has a chance to reach the Final Four.

With only about ten games left in the regular season for most squads, it is time to start talking about the tournament. I will give you all you need to know about this glorious sport before the tournament, giving you my predictions on a set of seeds and one sleeper per installment.

So, let's start at the top of the food chain and who will be the #1 seeds.

Florida - The Gators may have become the first college to win a basketball and football national championship in back-to-back years, but they will not win one in the same year. Florida returned almost every starter from the National Championship squad last year, including the highly ranked center, Joakim Noah. Noah is a very valuable factor for the Gators due to his size and athleticism around the basketball. The downsideNoah is extremely overrated. Somewhere down the line, a more skilled, less athletic center is going to shut him down. On the upside, no one will shut down their amazingly quick guards, led by deep threat Lee Humphrey and guard/forward Corey Brewer. Experience alone will lead the Gators to the Final Four, but their magical journey will end their.

Takeaways
  • Florida
  • UCLA
  • Ohio State
Did You Know?
UCLA does not have any forwards worth managing
