Duane "Dog" Chapman in More Legal Trouble
Things are just getting worst for Duane "Dog" Chapman. Best known for his TV show "Dog the Bounty Hunter", he come in the spotlight more recently for his legal trouble than for his bounty hunting skills. According to MSN.com, Dog has gotten himself into more hot water and is now being sued by the girlfriend of a man he captured. This capture took place while they were being filmed for TV show footage.
Audrey Emery has filed a lawsuit seeking unspecified damages against the bounty hunter alleging that a member of his crew through her down the stairs in 2005. This alleged occurrence resulted in her broke her back and has caused her emotional trauma. Dog was after her boyfriend Stuart Calistro who was staying in the apartment with Emery. Two other plantiffs are named in the lawsuit with Emery, one of which is her boyfriend, and they are both seeking damages was well.
Emery's lawyer stated the following about the alleged occurrence: "They're filming this TV segment and she is upset because you have these thugs breaking into her apartment and she doesn't want them in there, so they decide the convenient thing is to throw her down the stairs," says Richard Turbin.
The Chapman's released their own statement saying that there family has become the target of "frivolous lawsuits and publicity seeking attorneys" and that the " video tape in the show itself demonstrates that the charges against us are baseless." For Dog's sake, I hope that is the case.
All this is happening while Dog is out on a $300,000 bound stemming from the 2003 arrest of Andrew Luster who was accused ( and later convicted) of rape. He was captured in Puerto Vallarta. His charge is "deprivation of liberty" and a ruling is expected Tuesday. Find out more at www.MSN.com.
