Holistic Therapies for Animals
Sometimes it is Hard to Tell Who the Therapist is - Me or the Animals!

I have worked with energy therapies now for over twenty years, and, looking back, I am always amazed and respectful that so many of my lessons have come from my four legged friends. My husband and I live on a small ranch in north Texas, and have an assortment of horses, dogs and cats to look after, and who look after us in return. They (including my husband) have been my guinea pigs for every new therapy I have learned, and have always taught me much more than any book or lecture ever has. I would love to share a few of my favorite stories.Although I had studied spirituality and energy healing for years, I had not been serious about applying it until my daughter's two year old filly, named Billie, began having problems. She had been transported from Georgia when Stephanie moved home, and there had been a traffic incident in which the driver had to hit the brakes hard to avoid a collision. The horses in the trailer were thrown around a good bit. Over the next few months, the lovely buckskin filly began walking more and more stiffly, finally coming to a point where she carried her head almost to the ground, no natural curve to her neck and with totally striaght front legs. Running was not possible, and bucking or playing was out of the question. Two watch her broke my heart.
The vet had no idea what was wrong, let alone how to help her. She said we had two options - put her down, or accept she would be nothing more than a "pasture ornament". A few days later, I found an article about energy healing for animals and a list of practitioners. I called the closest one to me, and arranged for a session. The therapist's name was Linda Lopez from Fort Worth. Linda was destined to become a very dear friend.
