Want Romance for Valentine's Day?

Guys, (and ladies), Thursday is the deadline for mailings from outside Arkansas to have a Romance, Ar. postmark. Pre-addressed, pre-stamped envelopes, inside large stamped envelopes received by Thursday, Feb. 8, can still make it to your significant other by next Thursday, Valentine's Day, but time is running out.

Anyone seeking to take advantage of the Romance postmark is asked to enclose a preaddressed, pre-stamped envelope with a 39 cent stamp, postcards are 23 cents. The address to mail them to is:" Postmaster, Valentine Re-mailing, Romance, AR 72136-9998." Inside Arkansas, the deadline is Saturday.

According to the Postal Service, customers can use a larger envelope and mail Valentine cards and letters to Romance via Express Mail Service with a 1-2 day delivery, or Priority Mail with a 2-3 day delivery. Postmaster Nancy Schnebelen started the practice of re-mailing valentines in 2000. Hopefully, most of them have been received by now. Just kidding, in case my carrier is reading this.

So, unless Newman from Seinfeld is your carrier, it's not too late. Just remember, guys, get her something, or SHE might go postal! The idea of getting her valentine in a letter postmarked from Romance, just might be what it takes for you to rekindle the romance in your relationship. Don't be like the guy who fell in love with a woman but was too shy to ask her out. He got the idea of mailing her a love letter every day for a year, and then ask her. After a year, he finally got the nerve to call her...only to discover that she'd married the mailman. So, add a little Romance to your life!Gotta go, I need to get my valentine in the mail.
