Invitation to a Tea Party

if only to be a young girl again - how nice it would be.
dressing up in mama's clothes - having afternoon tea.
tiny dishes and teddy bears - all strategically placed.
mama's jewelry clinking around - as all are served a taste.
ribbons flowing in the breeze - skin warmend by afternoon sun.
tea and cookies all around - worries and cares are none.
sadness grows inside my heart - seeing my youth start to fade.
then i recall how much fun it was - the first time i got laid.
let's celebrate our womanhood - we've all walked the mile.
by having a tea party at my place - adult, long island, iced style.

i'll make the tea and the snacks - you can sleep where you fall.
