Skinny Jeans have been hot for the past few years and definitely won't be going away any time soon. Though they can be intimidating, for many of us there is no need to fear, and the name skinny jeans is not very apt as
many women do not consider themselves skinny. But the trick is getting the right cut of a skinny jean to flatter your figure.

It's important to know what type of skinny jeans will address your "problem" areas. For example, there are Cigarette jeans if you need more room in the calf area as they are a bit wider in the calf area. Or if you prefer, pair the jeans with some tall boots.

If you feel that the thighs are the problem you may have to stray away from the skinny jeans. Wearing straight-leg jeans instead is advisable as it clings to the hips and butt but you get room on the legs. This also reduces the attention to the hips and thighs as the aren't tapered at the ankle. The only issue is that it may be difficult to attain a pair with some stretch, and comfort may then be an issue.

If the tummy area is a concern there are three musts. The first is to go for skinny jeans that have stretch (look for spandex, elastic or elastane on the label) and are comfortable. The second, wear a loose empire waist top. Ad the third is to wear nice heels which aid in making the legs look long and slim. It's also a good idea to go with a pair with a medium rise.

With the butt area the advice is similar to the tummy but with two minor highlights. Get pockets on the jeans which are low; they shoudl be situated at the area where the butt and the thighs meet. The next tip is to get a shirt that extends past your hips. You may even decide to pair a mini dress with some skinny jeans for a unique look.

For women with fewer curves and more of a straight up and down body shape, pairing skinny jeans with a tighter top can do the trick! To avoid looking too young just avoid t-shirts, empire waist tops and flat shoes.
