For the past several years Sony has pretty much been on top of the pile as far as home gaming systems went. Then came the X-box from computer super giant microsoft and it looked like Sony finally had some competition as Nintendo got relegated to a background position. The competition between Sony and Microsoft heated up fast causing both companies to explode with game releases. Even though Nintendo has been out since the 80's it seemed to be fading fast. What was Nintendo to do in the face of such explosive growth for both the Paystation and the X-box home systems......?
The answer turned out to be the Wii the sickest home system invented to date. And just in the nick of time withthe release of the X-box 360 and the pending release of the Playstation 3.

So.... who is the top dog now? Well let's start by comparing price: the Playstaion 3 is $500 for the 20 GB model and $600 for the 60 GB model, the X-box 360 is $400, and the Wii is by far the cheapest at an impressive $250 out the door, these prices are for the home systems not including games , peripherals, or extra controllers. Next the system itself let's start with the Playstation 3 it comes in two models the 20 GB and the 60 GB models. Obviously the 60 GB premium model is impressive, there are some home computers that don't pack that many gigs. The X-box 360 has a 20 GB hard drive and the Wii has a meager 512 MB and that seems to imply to me that Nintendo wasn't going for a hard drive heavy weight with the Wii.
