As the seasons change from summer to fall, and the leaves wither and die, I also feel myself wither with the absence of your love. My empty heart pounds uselessly... pumping blood without life. My brain still receiving the signals of pain and desire, yet, numb to the world around me. My soul searching for a truth it will not find. I feel lonely... lost... dissatisfied. I seem no longer to walk from place to place, but float in a daze...remembering little of the trip or activities completed. I eat out of habit, and sleep when my eyes refuse to stay open. When I do sleep, I am restless with dreams of you. I feel myself becoming one with the scenery... a shell of who I once was. The thought of your love carries me through from day to day, but even that is slowly fading.
