Hi. I'm Christiana and I am bisexual. Man, it sounds like I'm attending AA or something.

Many people, now in the 21st century, are feeling more comfortable coming out that they are lesbian, gay, or bisexual. But being lesbian or gay is pretty straightforward. Being bisexual is just plain confusing. You want the best of both worlds, but what, or whom do you choose? How do you know a girl or a guy is right for you? Does conventionalism rear its ugly head, or do you let your own feelings decide?

Almost everyone gets curious about people of their own gender at some point or another. Whether the feelings are realized is another story, but the question of the unfamiliar, the curiosity of something forbidden by society, is exciting and a little rebellious.

Personally, I never once thought I might be bisexual growing up, but I did have unexplainable feelings toward girls. When a friend of mine would stay the night, I would sometimes think about kissing her. Now, some would tell you it was because I had never kissed a boy yet or had a real boyfriend, but I knew otherwise. I knew there was a funny feeling in me that wasn't right, but I never acted upon it.

After I graduated high school, I got my first real, serious relationship with the man I am still with today. I became more and more curious, however, of women and what it was like to be with one. I needed to find out, for sure, why I kept having these feelings and what they meant. So, one day I went on a chat room for bisexual women. I talked to one woman and told her I was bi-curious, but she seemed to be hitting more than she was actually listening, so I left the chat room. I let the whole issue go until one very bad night with my best friend.
