Free Indoor Activities for Kids in Oklahoma City

When weather makes it impossible to take your kids to outdoor playgrounds, it may seem like your only option is to plop your kids down in front of their favorite Disney movie. There's only so much coloring a kid will do in a day. For Oklahoma City parents, bad weather doesn't have to be a killjoy. There are plenty of free, indoor activities around the metro area for your kids.

Indoor OKC Activities: Quail Springs Mall

Oklahoma City's Quail Springs is a great mall for kids because of their playground and arcade. The playground, which is decently sized, is located in front of Dillards. The arcade is located in the Food Court. If your kids are small, you don't need quarters for them to be entertained in the arcade. Our 2 year old loves to play on quarter rides and arcade games without us ever dropping quarters in them.

Indoor OKC Activities: Crossroads Mall

Though the Oklahoma City mall no longer has any anchor stores and is likely on its way out, it still boasts a couple a kid-friendly events, including their free playground and $1.50 Carousel. Plus, they have kid-sized toilets, a perk for many toddlers.

Indoor OKC Activities: Oklahoma City Libraries

Each month, the Oklahoma City libraries offer a number of fun and free indoor events for kids of all ages, from puppet shows to reading groups and more.

Indoor OKC Activities: Lakeshore Learning Center

Every Saturday from 11-3, bring your kids to the Oklahoma City Lakeshore Learning Center for free, indoor entertainment. Each Saturday, Lakeshore offers a different craft for kids aged 3 and up.

Indoor OKC Activities: Home Depot Kid's Clinics

On the first of each a month, from 9-12pm, the Oklahoma City Home Depot offers a free kid's clinic where children ages 5-12 can learn do-it-yourself skills, tool safety and more.

Indoor OKC Activities: Story Time at Barnes & Noble

Every Saturday, take your kids to either Oklahoma City Barnes & Noble for a free session of story time. For the Quail Springs location, children aged 3 and under are welcome; at the North May location, age isn't specified.
