Saint Patrick's Day is right around the corner. Why not make this Saint Patrick's Day fun, creative, and different for your children? If you are a very busy mom you might be looking for quick and easy Saint Patrick's Day activities or crafts to do with your kid like making Shamrocks, coloring, and baking Saint Patrick's Day cookies. Why not make a Saint Patrick's Day tree and associate it with Christmas? If you have a fake Christmas tree you can cut out little shamrocks to use as ornaments, use Green and White Garland, and for the top of the tree make a leprechaun. So what would you put under the tree instead of gifts? I would find a Black plastic basket or pot and fill it up with those fake chocolate foiled coins. If you want you can add a bundle of cotton to the pot first then place the coins on top. For the leprechaun topper you can either purchase a small leprechaun doll from like a Dollar store or find a leprechaun on the computer you can print out. I then suggest printing out two. Staple them together leaving an opening at the bottom. Stuff them with cotton and staple. Make a hole at the top place a metal Christmas ornament hanger on it. Now you can hang it on the Saint Patrick's Day tree.

Now we all know what Santa Claus likes to eat, but what would you leave a leprechaun? I am guessing leprechauns like to eat Lucky Charm cereal, but you can also leave out some twigs from a tree, berries, potatoes, bacon, cabbage, or some Irish bread since he is a leprechaun and comes from Ireland I guess. As far as home decorations for Saint Patrick's Day you can blow up some Green balloons, hang up Green stockings, print out some Saint Patrick's Day cards and hang them on your stairway or wall, and place some Green Garland around the house.

On Saint Patrick's Day play some Saint Patrick's Day music. There are some great Irish Bands like U2, Cranberries, and the Corrs. Then make a Green breakfast and watch a good Saint Patrick's Day movie. A good movie would be "The Luck of the Irish or Chip 'n Dale "The last Leprechaun". If there is a parade in your area you can get dressed up in Green and go celebrate like an Irish leprechaun.
