Everybody has had one, the infamous bad hair day. Frizzy, greasy, or limp hair are some of the worst culprits that can happen during anytime of the year. When you have a bad hair day it can not only ruin your outfit for the day, it can make you self conscious. Some hair problems can come from the weather conditions but some are your own fault. Here are some of the reasons that your hair misbehaves in the way that it does.

1. Hair resists being styled and curls or straitening doesn't hold long

The main culprit for this is over washing. Natural oils that are produced by your scalp are frizz-reducing and shine producing. There is no specific number of times that you should wash your hair since it is dependent upon your hair type. For frizzy or curly hair you should only be washing your hair approximately once every few weeks. In between washings you should use conditioner to lift grime. Oily hair needs anywhere from three times a week up to daily. Shampoo overuse could also be a culprit. Use a quarter sized dollop, lather in your hands, and massage into hair.

2. Limp and dull hair

Your hair could be nutrient deficient if you have this problem. Most people do not think of hair as a "living" thing. It does nourish your hair from the roots through the strand. If you do not think that you are eating a well balanced diet than you should try a daily vitamin. Nutrients also help protect your hair and scalp from pollution, poor quality water, and sun exposure.

3.Brassy, streaked or frizzy hair

Even during these cold winter months, the sun damage your hair incurred in the summer months can still wreak havoc. Too much sun weakens your hair and causes discoloration (or brassy) in your hair.

4. Oily roots and dry ends

You are right about the limp hair problem. I started taking a multi-vitamin and my hair not only started shining, it grew rapidly. As for frizzy hair, Dove shampoo & cream rinse is the bomb. After one week of using this product, frizziness is almost null & void.

I like the brassy deal. Makes the gray think it should be blond.
