So, even if your body doesn't feel vibrant and carefree, your face doesn't have to reflect it. Read ahead for six simple beauty tips to give your skin a healthy, bright glow.
Pesky dark circles under the eyes. Not only do under-eye rings signal a lack of sleep, they can also lead to a sallow-looking complexion. Your face deserves to sparkle. To rid yourself of those unflattering eye accessories, wrap slivers of raw potatoes in a wet paper towel and place them over your eyes for 15 minutes. Potatoes contain a lightening enzyme that can purge the dark pigment.
Just the right amount of shimmer can make you shine. Using shimmer is a great way to look fresh and iridescent; unfortunately applying too much can give the appearance of trying too hard. Apply shimmer to one feature. For example, if using shimmer on your eyes, don't extend the makeup brush past the crease. Shimmer on your eye lids equals glamorous. Shimmer that reaches up to your eyebrows equals gaudy.
Let your natural glow shine through. Instead doing the foundation-concealer-powder routine, which can seriously hide your face and make you look older if you overdo it, try something a little more natural. Using a damp makeup sponge to gently apply a tinted moisturizer can give you similar coverage while letting your God-given features shine through. The more natural your look, the younger you look.
Mascara can make or break tired eyes. Even though we know we should get at least eight hours of sleep a night, with our hectic schedules it's not always possible. Luckily, your eyes don't have to show your sleep deprivation to the world. Applying mascara to the lower lashes can actually accentuate dark under-eye circles. Instead, apply mascara to the top lashes only to help chase the shadows away.
