It is said that Alec Baldwin and Christopher Walken both have standing invitations to host Saturday Night Live whenever they please. And if that is true, there is good reason. Both are absolutely hysterical in sketch comedy.

One of the best ever Saturday Night Live skits featuring Alec Baldwin is also one of the most controversial. It is a skit featuring Canteen Boy, a recurring Saturday Night Live character that was portrayed by Adam Sandler, and a scoutmaster named Mr. Armstrong, who was played by Alec Baldwin.

In the skit, Alec Baldwin makes overt sexual advances on Canteen Boy, while out camping in the woods in their Boy Scout uniforms. Canteen Boy is, of course, naive and childlike, and doesn't know what is going on or what to do. "Is that a snake in my sleeping bag?" Canteen Boy asks innocently. Alec Baldwin's chest hair is fully on display, and it makes a hilarious scene.

Although Adam Sandler's Canteen Boy character was actually a twenty-seven year old assistant scout master, NBC and Saturday Night Live received countless letters condemning the skit for implying pedophilia. Alec Baldwin used the controversy in a future monologue, where he and Adam Sandler performed a more "politically correct" version of the skit. In the politically correct version, Alec Baldwin asked Canteen Boy where and when he could touch him.

Another of the best ever Saturday Night Live skits featuring Alec Baldwin is a holiday sketch, where he portrays a naive father. He and his wife and their children come down the stairs on Christmas morning only to find that Santa Claus hasn't left any presents...again.

The children are upset, and so is Alec Baldwin, who clearly believes in Santa Claus as much as the children do. And he is shocked that Santa didn't stop at their house and leave any presents. This has evidently been going on for years. The family has been good, sent Santa letters, and left him milk and cookies, but still...nothing.

"What does that fat, sleigh-riding son of a bitch want from us!" Alec Baldwin exclaims.
