"Speeding ticket", Oh what an ugly word! Speeding tickets are obviously necessary for society as a whole, but I hardly believe going 8 miles over the limit is reason to pay a fine. I know there are millions of people who seem to be police magnets. It seems that every time you turn your back, they get another ticket. I, on the other hand, have NEVER received a speeding ticket. Coincidence? I think not. I have been pulled over 8 times in my driving career. That is nearly once every year I have been driving. Each of those occasions was for speeding, but never did I receive a speeding ticket. You might wonder why. I will tell you exactly what I do to avoid speeding tickets at all costs.

No Attitude
Showing attitude is the last thing you should do when talking to a police officer. There are two types of police officers: those that want to feel power, and those that hate pulling you over. Neither type appreciates a bad attitude. This means you should immediately roll down your window before they ask you too. There should absolutely be no sighing, comments under your breath, or sarcasm in your voice. Treat the police officer like anyone who deserves respect. It will gain you a lot of points.

Don't Be Over Sweet
Police officers are human. They know when someone is sucking up to them. Imagine someone acting sugary sweet to you. It would annoy you wouldn't it? Be genuine. Don't show attitude, but don't be sugary sweet. Treat them with the appropriate amount of respect.

Don't drive in N. Virginia. They are the worst for ticketing everyone.

Officers risk their lives every day for us. They are not all power hungry. If you treat them with dignity and respect, they will respect you as well. I am an average looking gal that has been pulled over by men AND women. If you don't agree with my suggestions, than keep getting those tickets!

I bet you're gorgeous. You're probably totally adorable. That's an advantage on many levels. On any one of the eight times you were pulled over, was it ever once by an ugly female cop? I think being polite and respectful is the only way to handle any cop, but I don't think unattractive people should get their hopes up. It won't be as likely to work for them, at least not eight consecutive times.

Most officers want to leave you alone? No, I must disagree. Most officers are power hungry as$$$es that want nothing more than to pull somoene over and show you they have power over you. If you don't want a speeding ticket...then don't speed.
