If you live in Macon County, Missouri then prom 2009 is just around the corner. When you are planning the big night one detail you are going to be taking into account is where to eat before you head off to the dance. 
Despite being a small town Macon does offer a few restaurants to accommodate all types of budgets. Whether you are looking for a fun atmosphere or one that is a little more formal you will be able to find it at one of these 3 restaurants.

The Pear Tree, located 5 miles west of Macon in the small town of Bevier, is my top choice for a pre-prom dinner location. This upscale restaurant is perfect for prom because of its formal (and semi-romantic) atmosphere. The food is top of the line and diners can choose from steak, seafood, chicken, and so much more. The Pear Tree offers a wide variety of appetizers, deserts, and even has dinner packages. If you have never dined at The Pear Tree then why not make this prom night your first time. I recommend the onion rings and crab ran-goons for starters. If you are looking for a great main course then try the fillet mignon, lobster, or chicken piccata (all my personal favorites). If you have still got room for desert then you can choose from either their homemade ice cream or one of the other great items. So this prom if you are still looking for a place to dine then The Pear Tree should be at the top of your list.
Los Jimadores Mexican Restaurant
Located at 521 E. Briggs Drive in Macon, Mo is the Los Jimadores Mexican Restaurant. If you are looking for a fun, less formal atmosphere for your prom dinner then this restaurant is right for you. The Los Jimadores Mexican restaurant serves all types of authentic Mexican dishes from quesadillas and burritos to fajitas and enchiladas. If you are a vegetarian then they have even got dishes for you too! The service is great and the price is very reasonable, so if you are looking to dine out before prom and not spend all of your money then head over to the Los Jimadores Mexican Restaurant in Macon, Mo.
