No human voices, only a bird's screech.
Other people will walk the beach,
None noticing the sandbar left there
By the sea's un-surrendering waves.
As each day passes there will be,
A larger sandbar fighting to be free.
Didn't matter to anyone that passed it seemed.
The teenagers entranced hand in hand did not see.
The young children and dogs playing Frisbee,
They chase and play but never see.
Everyone is too busy to notice and set it free.
Everyday I come to the beach,
Deep in thought with waves to my knees,
I says a prayer and begin to work
Others will walk by not to understand.
Why do I do this every day?
The world is an ocean free and beautiful
To help it flow without danger or ruse
A walk on the beach and a prayer
A life of wonders to truly share
A time to help, and a time to give
To remove that sandbar will truly be
A chance for the creatures of the sea
To know true happiness and to live
A walk on the beach, and a prayer
Do you even hear?
