I Miss You
A Poem of Lost Love
Embed:
For a short time I had you,In my arms so tight,
I didn't want to let you go,
But that would not be right.
I needed what you had to offer,
Your touch, you warm embrace,
Needed to feel your fingers,
Trace the lines of my face.
Your lips brushed my forehead,
Your fingers tangled in my hair,
You gave me what I needed,
To know someone was there.
We lay in silence together,
I listened to your heart.
In this instant a thought took root,
That I never wanted us to part.
I miss you,
though I shouldn't,
I love you,
though I couldn't,
I hate you,
though I wouldn't,
Your disinterest,
I withstood it.
I miss you,
though I shouldn't,
I love you,
though I couldn't,
I hate you,
though I wouldn't,
Your disinterest,
I withstood it.
These weeks we've been apart,
Have been like a rollercoaster ride,
Sometimes you are here with me,
And other times you hide.
I can't interpret your actions,
At times, I cannot picture your face,
But those times we spent together,
Time cannot erase.
I can still feel your breath,
As dances on my skin,
See the glint in your eyes,
As you kiss my lips.
I recall the smell of your skin,
As you hold me to your chest,
And breathlessness I felt,
As together our bodies pressed.
I miss you,
though I shouldn't,
I love you,
though I couldn't,
I hate you,
though I wouldn't,
Your disinterest,
I withstood it.
I miss you,
though I shouldn't,
I love you,
though I couldn't,
I hate you,
though I wouldn't,
Your disinterest,
I withstood it.
