Becoming a New Mom?

Becoming a mother is very rewarding. There are many women out there who are not able to conceive children. I was one of the lucky ones who was in fact able to experience becoming a mother. I was told that I may not be able to have children. I have visited to doctors' office several times when every time they kept telling me that I have pre-cancerous cells on my cervices. I had four different types of surgeries on my services to see if they were removable. Every check up that I had they would always find new ones. The last visit that I had, they told me that they were thinking of doing a parcel hysterectomy. They felt that it was for the best. As I was getting ready to schedule an appointment to go in for my last check up, I learned that I had become pregnant.

What more could I have asked for? My husband and I were so happy. I think that doctors are quick to just assume that women will not bare children before actually looking into what the true issue is. I was now able to start planning for a child to come into our lives. From learning that I was pregnant, just made my whole demeanor change. I was happier all the time and I would always find myself going out of the way to talk to mothers with small children. I would ask as many questions as possible and I was buying a lot of helpful books. I would ask all of my co-workers with children about their experiences and tell them mine as I was experiencing them. It was just fun.

My favorite part was waiting to see if we were going to have a boy or girl. Everyone thought that since I was carrying so low that it was a boy. As the time came to really find out, my husband and I were real nervous. We got to see many different views of the baby that day. It was lying on its back with its feet propped up. Then we heat, "It's a girl"! I was so excited and couldn't wait to start picking out her name. I believe that I ordered several types of baby name books.
