Pubs have been a popular tradition in Milwaukee for years, stemming from it's immigrant roots. The Pubs of the past were likely neighborhood hangouts, where people, young and old, would gather and socialize at the corner tavern. The neighborhood pub was ofter the social center of the neighborhood, where whole families would gather for food, drinks and conversation. Today, some of the neighborhood style pubs are still around.
