The "My Grammy Moment" Not as Good as Expected for Some!

Robyn Troup was the one who was chosen for the special my Grammy moment performance with Justin Timberlake. However after watching her performance and looking at her entry submissions, it really makes you wonder how in the world she won. We all understand that she was probably nervous been gin front of so many celebrities, but when you finally are given your moment to really shine wouldn't you give it all you've got? Compared to the other finalist she really seemed to be lacking the performance ability according to some critics. It is no wonder then that she was cut from American Idol season 6. She did make it past round one but she did not make it past round two, and most music critics can see why. This is not to say that she can not sing, she does have a nice voice, however some of the other finalist sounded so much better and may have been able to pull off a stronger performance.

Since she is only eighteen years old she obviously has plenty of time to train her voice, and work on her performance. This will definitely take some time. Many music critics felt that the twenty two year old Brenda Radney sang much better and had a lot more confidence. However it does seem that many who voted felt overall Robyn Troup was much better. Was it her singing that they really liked or more of her appearance? We can see just by watching American Idol that sometimes it's not all about talent. If people feel that you don't have the right look you may end up losing.
