There has been an important warning issued by computer software company Microsoft. They would like users to know that there are six "critical" security flaws in their software. Users should download "six" "critical" security patches that were released on Tuesday to fix flaws in its software products. These flaws could enable hackers access into your computer systems. Once in your computer systems hackers can have access to many important documents and files that you may have saved.

Microsoft issues several security safety measures once a month. They usually upload security patches for their users to download. These patches will help fix the flaws that their systems might currently have. Microsoft understands that nearly 95% of current computer users currently use their software. They have an understanding and continued dedication to ensuring safety to all users. Their newly launched operating system Microsoft Vista did not need any security patches this month.

Microsoft defines a flaw as "critical" when the vulnerability could allow a damaging Internet worm to replicate without the user doing anything to the machine. Whenever a program is made there is bound to be several flaws. No program can be completely perfect. Hackers tend to seek out flaws in programs. When there is an obvious flaw, hackers will use that flaw to their advantage. A flaw can give them access to important files and documents that you do not anyone to see. This is how hackers often get a hold of people's identities and other information.

It appears that the critical security patches were for several products made by Microsoft. The critical flaws affected versions of its Windows, Office, Works, Internet Explorer and Microsoft Malware Protection Engine products. Other programs had flaws as well, but they would not affect security of your system like the flaws in those programs would. If there appears to still be flaws in the programs after the security patches are applied, Microsoft will release other types of patches to help fix the flaw at hand.
