Adding fruit to your diet is a great way to lose weight. Replacing processed food with nutrition packed fruits will reduce your risk of cancer, give you energy throughout the day, and will help you get rid of that stubborn belly fat. The following foods are a great addition to your daily diet because they will help your body burn the fat. Eat an apple in the morning during breakfast or as a midday snack. Apple pectin will help you feel more full. When you feel full, you eat less. To get even more energy, spread a nut butter on the apple and the protein will keep you going for hours. Be sure to use a natural nut butter. Processed peanut butter with loads of sugar, salt, and preservatives will not help your body burn fat.
Don't think that all the fruits you eat need to be low in fat. An avocado is a nutritional powerhouse. It contains the right kinds of fat for your body, plus more than 25 essential nutrients such as the B vitamins, vitamin E, potassium, and lutein.
Any of the citrus fruits is a great addition to your diet. The vitamin C in the citrus fruit dilutes fat. Oranges and grapefruits can help increase your metabolism. If you have a problem with being hungry, and you are eating sufficient calories, add a grapefruit a day. Grapefruit has been shown to lower insulin levels which will make you less hungry.
If you like spicy food you are in luck. Eating hot peppers is an excellent way to burn fat. Hot peppers such as jalapenos can give your metabolism a quick boost. Eating healthy does not mean eating bland.
One way all of these fruits help your body burn fat is through fiber. A high fiber diet is essential to good health. Fiber will make you feel fuller and help you not overeat. In addition, it helps flush LDL cholesterol out of your system. It takes longer to digest high fiber foods. Your body must work to digest these foods so your resting metabolism will increase as a result.
