St. Patrick's day in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul is a big party. Each city has their own parade at different times. There will be numerous parties and events throughout the cities. There are many Irish pubs in the area. A few of them are listed at the end of this article, but you can probably just follow the crowds to find your green beer. This articles contains information about some of the St. Patty's Day events on March 17.

Official Minneapolis St. Patrick's Day Buttons are sold annually. Purchase a $2 button and help send a child with diabetes to summer camp. Be sure to pick up a button on St. Patrick's Day to wear proudly on your lapel. Local merchants who are sponsoring the events are selling the buttons.

Following is information about the parades and festivities.:

The 41st Annual St. Patrick's Day parade will commence at noon. The parade route will begin at Fourth and Sibley streets and head West on Fourth Street. The Parade ends at Rice Park. The parade includes floats, bands, color guard, clans and more. If you choose to participate by marching in the parade, bring a homemade banner with your clan's name. Go to the area between Sibley and Wall Streets in Fourth and look for a sign for the Irish County your forefathers came from, or the club or organization that you would like to march with. Join right in. Call 651-256-2155 for information.
