Jihad at Trolley Square

Bosnian Muslim Goes on a Killing Spree in Major U.S. City

It was a cold Monday night in Salt Lake City, Utah. Sulejman Talovic parked in the west parking lot at the Trolley Square mall, but he wasn't there for Valentines sales.

Sulejman Talovic came with a pump-action 12-gauge shotgun, a bandolier around his waist, and a backpack loaded with extra ammunition and a .38-caliber handgun. Talovic met his first two victims as he left the parking lot, firing off two rounds as they fell helplessly to the

 ground.

"Die, motherf-----," Talovic yelled at them, according to witnesses. 1

He then moved deliberately through the ground floor, firing round after round at helpless others. Witnesses inside said Talovic sometimes said nothing, and other times would either say "Die, motherf-----," or order his victims not to look him in the face. 2

Eventually, five people were slaughtered and four were seriously wounded. The damage would have been much worse if it wasn't for an off-duty police officer and an amazingly fast response by police. The first officers arrived only 3 minutes after the first call, and a SWAT team finally killed Talovic only 3 minutes after that.3

According to virtually all media outlets, no motive has been determined, and few have even dared to speculate.

The glaring omission is this: Sulejman Talovic is a Muslim refugee from Bosnia. 4In fact, "Sulejman" is a Muslim name, taken from the Muslim conqueror of the Balkans, Suleiman the Magnificent. 5

"Most Bosnian refugees abhor violence," Elvis Hadzialijagic, a Bosnian restaurant owner in Salt Lake said. "We had enough of that." 1

Apparently not this one. Unfortunately, Talovic was most likely too young at the time to have learned the lessons of his homeland, and appreciate how America saved him from it all.

It is also worth noting the Talovic spent a majority of his shooting spree inside a card shop, where he fired at every single person shopping for Valentines gifts. Many Muslims believe that Valentines day is immoral. 3

UPDATE: Sulejman was "rewarded" with full islamic burial in Bosnia. His father blames America for the shooting. The FBI has completely bungled the investigation, and no one knows what happened to the man's computer. Reminds me of July 28, 2006, when Naveed Afzal Haq forced his way into the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle. Once inside, Haq announced, "I'm a Muslim American; I'm angry at Israel," and then began shooting, killing one woman and injuring five more. The FBI stated: "There's nothing to indicate that it's terrorism-related."

(Cont... ) this has NOTHING to do with him being "Bosnian." So calm down. Be happy that this article is here to give you FACTS that you could not get elsewhere. If you think it's insignificant, then so be it! At least it's here, and you have an opportunity to decide for yourself-- and thats why America is free.

First of all, thanks for all the vicious hateful comments, keep 'em coming!! UPDATE: ["We certainly are aware that terrorism is a potential subject of the investigation"-- Patrick Keirnan, FBI ] I want to inform you that this was one of only 2 published articles ANYWHERE that reported that this man was Muslim, now the information can be found anywhere (although still not widely reported) so give me some credit there. TO THE BOSNIANS: The fact that he is a Bosnian refugee is NOT very significant, because it's hard to understand why a Bosnian refugee would do this. The fact that he is Muslim MAY BE significant, because it presents a possible motive (uh, we happen to be at war and many Muslims dont like us). The point of this article was to balance out the politically correct reporting which failed to identify this man by what is MORE significant to the story. Let's get one thing straight, I like Bosnians, and most of them like us, this has NOTHING to do with him being "Bosnian." S

What has been "kept simple" here is the obvious attempt at fear-mongering and "jumping to conclusions." As Jim points out, we need to stop inflating prejudices...

Wow. You should hear the response from the Bosnian community here. They are absolutely horrified, and as perplexed as everyone else. This is also the 3rd 'refugee' mass shooting in a public place that salt lake city has seen in very recent years. So--if you are willing to blame 'something' rather than someone, it may be wise to look at the entire picture within a social context, and muse about the experience of being a refugee in Utah. It seems to have nothing to do with this kid's muslim beliefs, if any.

You know, I was a kid myself when the war was going on and you have no idea how much I remember it and how much its with me every single day of my life and it will be with me till the day I die. One thing I will ask everyone is not to judge, and say right away it's because he was a Muslim. I really don't think that had anything to do with that, because they say the kid never went to Mosque and he wasn't religious. But then even if he was, who knows what was going on with the boy and all the problems he had. We all can sit now and say it's this and that but we will never really know what was going on in his head. When we look at the Oklahoma bombing, the Columbine high school shooting, all these things happened because someone had something wrong going on in their head, and no one said they were this and that because they were Americans. So let's not judge till we know why he decided to do this horrible act; till we know some facts. Once again my condolences to all of the fami

I am born Bosnian and I am American, to say very proud to be an American. I will say this, I am really sad and shocked as to what has happened, but also know that each and every Bosnian in the United States of America is sad about this. It’s sad that innocent people die every day. I know those people that have died didn't deserve to die and I send all of my condolences to their families and please know that we know what the boy did is SO WRONG. None of us understand as to why he did this, I mean we went through so much in the War and it tore us apart. No one is the same after that War, people have died, the innocent people. We know how it feels when someone just comes and starts shooting, because that is what has happened in Bosnia. Serbs just came in and started shooting and throwing bombs on our homes and it was all an end. As I am writing this, tears are coming down my face because it reminds me what we went trough and what is happening to our kids. You k
