As a resident of New Hampshire, every four years we endure a parade of Presidential hopefuls. It is an aspect of NH living that I take too lightly. So this year my granddaughter Katie and I are making a point to see each candidate as they come to court NH residents. At heart, I am a conservative, and Katie is a liberal. I will admit to having preconceived ideas of certain candidates, as does Katie to a certain extent. However, we have agreed to go into each of the candidate's meeting with an open mind. We will be reporting throughout the NH primary season. Our hope is to give insights into each candidate that you don't get on TV, newspapers or radio.

Senator Hillary Clinton was in New Hampshire this weekend, and would be in Concord NH on Saturday, February 10. The event scheduled to begin at 1:15 pm and we arrived at noon. Katie was excited about seeing Senator Clinton; I was not.

Parking was already a problem and we had to park about a block and a half away. When we went to the school, the campaign workers allowed us immediately. A big relief, since it was very cold outside. Once inside we were asked to fill out forms in order to attend the event. The form asked for basic information, name, address, email, telephone number, and would you be interested in making phone calls, volunteering etc. Then the line started. It moved quickly and soon we were in the gymnasium. We choose to sit in the bleachers, on the left side of the staging. I give Hillary's campaign organizers an "A" on organization and believe me, that hurts.

Although Hillary was due at 1:15 p.m., she arrived at 2:00 p.m. I knew she would be running late, since she was spending more time in Berlin NH as reported on the TV news this morning. So I am giving her a "C" for promptness.

"Let The Conversation Begin" splashed across her campaign signs, and as she addressed the audience, her first political comment was "I am running for President and I'm going to win it." Cheers ran through the Hillary supported audience, as I felt dread go through every cell of my body. Hillary did look like a winner.
