Ten Ways to Turn Situations from Hopeless to Hope Filled
Situations happen in our lives that sometimes seem hopeless but the one thing we must remember is that there is always hope. No matter how dark and impossible a situation seems hope is the one element that keeps us moving forward.
Do you remember the story of Pandora's box? According to Greek legend all the miseries of humankind were let loose when Pandora's curiosity prompted her to peek inside. Only hope was kept contained within the box and so we always have hope even when it seems we have nothing else.
I've had my share of good and bad in life although at times it seems like the bad outweighs the good. I believe that everything happens for a reason and that everything balances out eventually. I've had a multitude of problems like everyone else. I've been through divorce, illness, the death of loved ones, lost jobs and financial difficulties that never seem to go away. I lost everything I owned in a fire that left me with nothing but the nightgown I was wearing at the time. My family escaped without harm and that was the important thing.
That's only a small portion of the tribulations life has thrown at me. I'm sure you all could make a fairly long list of the problems you've had to deal with throughout your lives. There have been times when I didn't know what to do or where to turn but through it all, I'm still here. There have been many times when I've felt like giving up but I always manage to get that second wind that pushes me forward. That second wind is known as hope.
Here are a few tips to help you turn a hopeless outlook into a hope filled one instead.
Imagine the worst-case scenario.
Now, I know you're probably wondering how imagining the worst-case scenario can help you be more hope filled but let me explain. Your situation may be terribly tragic but believe it or not it could always be worse.
