The Most Irritating New Celebrity Fashion Trends

Stop the Fashion Madness!

Celebrity fashion trends should not necessarily be repeated at home, behind closed doors, let alone on the streets of America. The problem with celebrity fashion trends lately, is twofold, however. On one hand, it seems
that every celebrity is copycatting the latest trend without much thought to being the tenth person at the Grammys wearing a metallic dress. The other part of the celebrity fashion trend crisis that we are facing at this very moment, is that there will be everyday people following these fashion trends in a city near you.

Stop the Metallic!

Innocent bystanders were blinded at the recent Grammy Awards by the glaring display of metallic dresses and gowns worn by far too many celebrities. Trendy should not mean that every starlet in Hollywood gets to wear their designer's interpretation of metallic fashion. Even the most reputable designers chose to adorn their celebrity model in the glimmer and glare or metallic materials. When more than three celebrities wear the same style of fashion at a red carpet event, it becomes too trendy. The problem with this metallic trend is that there are now factory workers for Walmart piecing together silver and gold ensembles that will sell for $12.99 in the stores. Blame the celebrities for this fashion trend when you see ther return of Disco.

What this Means to You

Expect an unusually large number of women to wear blinding metallic dresses and gowns to the next wedding reception you attend. Silver sequins and gold glitter will make a comeback at commercial retail stores like Target and Walmart. Payless will bring out the metallic spike heel collection and your grandmother will purchase a pair of gold metallic house slippers.

Skinny Jeans Belong on 110 Pound Runway Models

Nicole Richie at starving weight and banned runway models who didn't meet the minimum weight rules will look good in skinny jeans. Other celebrities, posed at the right angle, will pull off the skinny jean with a pair of three inch heels and some photo editing. The skinny jeans celebrity fashion trend is running wild in Hollywood.

I totally agree with your blog...some trends are just too trendy...I like the classics. I discuss these extensively in my blog, with some humor in some blogs and others are focused on attaining old school Hollywood style like Audrey Hepburn which is ALWAYS in style. Can't believe non-celebs are wearing this stuff! Great article.

Skinny jeans are actually great for anyone who is wearing tall boots. The boot balances the straight leg so even if you aren't skinny, you still look good. Plus there is less jean to shove into the boot itself.

Wait...I lied about the sequinned dress. But it was a bridesmaid's dress, so it shouldn't count.

Run for the hills! The metallics are coming. Look for grannies with gold lame dresses, sandles, and eyelids (yes, eye shadows have gone metallic too.)
