When you start to make a beaded necklace you should start small. By starting small I mean you should start with a shorter necklace that is made of beads that are not expensive. Then as you get better at making beaded necklaces you can make necklaces that are longer with better more expensive quality beads.
To start making your own beaded necklaces you should make a trip to a craft store and see what kinds of beads are available. You will need to get some thread that is specially made to make necklaces with and a very thin needle that is used to thread the beads on the thread with. You can get beads of different sizes, colors and shapes. Some beads are of different textures, and sheens. You can put small beads in the same necklace as larger beads and you can use different colors in the same necklace. You can get as creative as you want when you are making a necklace yourself.
Make sure when you get the beads that you want to use for your necklace that you get enough beads for your necklace. It is easy to think you have enough beads for a necklace project so it is better to buy more beads then fewer beads for a necklace.
