A New Chapter in the Ongoing Halliburton Controversy
It becomes increasingly evident, day to day, that the Bush administration conspired to and in fact did wage war on Iraq in spite of clear evidence there was no basis for that war.
Bush ordered extensive bombing and destruction of Baghdad, for reasons without basis, and then, with the aide of his cronies, sent Halliburton, a construction company to rebuild.
We all are aware of the extensive damage that was done to Baghdad in the early days of the war. Bush thought the war would be short-lived, he expected a quick "mission accomplished". Instead, the war has dragged on for years. The loss of life is incomprehensible. We have killed hundreds of thousands of Iraqis, trying to "democratize" them. We have made enemies of the entire Muslim world.
Readers will remember that recently President George Bush, during a congressional break, with no discussion, no debate, and no explanation, sought to place DuBai in charge of the American Ports. It was later revealed, though denied by the White House, that DuBai then would sell out to Halliburton, thus placing Halliburton Industries in charge of the American ports. Most officers, and employee's of DuBai, would still remain after the Halliburton takeover. DuBai is located in The United Arab Emirate, which was and is terrorist friendly, harboring and tolerating Islamic terrorists,.
"Today Dubai Ports World announced it would "transfer fully the U.S. operations...to a United States entity.? PBS News Hour reporter, Norm Ornstein, said that DP World was considering selling its U.S. operations to Halliburton"
This entire scenario extends far beyond anything this administration has done before. It goes beyond the lies to wage a pre-emptive strike, beyond the exposure of Valerie Plame.
Prescott Bush, the Presidential father, and grandfather, and VP Cheney have a lifetime of links to Halliburton industries. Vice President Dick Cheney is a former executive officer at Halliburton.
