Freshwater Access on the Tombigbee River in Alabama

The Tombigbee River has 4 reservoirs that it feeds, making up some 33,200 surface acres of freshwater access in the state of Alabama. These 4 reservoirs offer boaters and anglers different opportunities, from public boat ramp to bank fishing and dock fishing. Generally there is no charge to use these facilities, but some locations do charge a small fee.

Aliceville Reservoir on the Tombigbee River has 8300 surface acres of water. Here boaters can fish and enjoying boating. At the Westbank Damsite anglers can enjoy bank fishing and deck fishing. The Pickensville Recreation Area offers boaters and anglers a public boat ramp while the Tom Bevill Visitor Center has bank fishing to offer anglers. Marina Cove has a public boat ramp and Raleigh Ryan has a public boat ramp and bank fishing.

Coffeeville Reservoir on the Tombigbee River has 8500 surface acres of water. At Myrtlewood anglers can use a public boat ramp. At Locke 32, anglers can use the boat dock, but they will have to pay a fee. At Tuscahoma, there is a boat ramp, fishing access and a dock. At Bashi Creek there is a boat ramp and a dock for anglers and boaters to use. At Lenoir Landing there is a boat ramp. At Choctaw National Wildlife Reserve there is a boat ramp and a dock and at Service Park there is a boat ramp, but there is also a fee to use it.

Demopolis Reservoir on the Tombigbee River has 10,000 surface acres of water for anglers and boaters to enjoy. The Lower Pool has a public boat ramp and bank fishing as does Foscue, Runaway 2, the Demopolis City Landing, Lockes 4, 5, and 6, Birdeye, Backbone and Belmont for anglers and boaters to enjoy. Forkland has a public boat ramp, bank fishing and dock fishing. French Creek and Boligee has only a public bank ramp for anglers to use.
