People Know Things About You - Perhaps most unnervingly, when you change your Facebook relationship status, you'll notice words of comfort or adulation pouring in from people you haven't talked to since the Clinton administration, most of who have a crush on you or want to revel in your pain. Go ahead, try it. Change your Facebook relationship status, completely arbitrarily. People will call you on that stuff, maybe not online, but the next time you see them--isn't that creepy? If I wanted people to have that kind of access to my life, I'd criticize the government. It's too much. Facebook status relationship updates are too much. Until further notice, they won't be on my profile.
