Another celebrity is coming out into the public with a story of how they almost committed suicide. Following the news that Kim Mathers, the former wife of rap superstar Eminem, thought about suicide, comedian Mark Curry has decided to do the same. Curry will talk about his experience in an interview scheduled to air on "The Montel Williams Show" this Thursday.

Mark Curry will be on the show to talk about a freak accident that happened last spring. A falling can of spray starch helped engulf his home in flames. It took only a few seconds for the house to be set fully ablaze. Curry escaped the fire and suffered several injuries as well. The fire ended up leaving Curry with nearly 18 percent of his body covered in second-degree burns.

During the interview, Curry talks about the pain he went through after waking up from a three-day, medically induced coma. He remembers looking at his body and not liking what he saw. Thoughts immediately entered his mind. He began to question why he was alive and that he could not live like this. Curry was truly unhappy with everything. The situation felt like it was completely unbearable and he lost hope. With his hope fading away, the thoughts of suicide started to enter his mind.

Curry started to hoard all the painkillers the doctors were giving him. He was planning on saving enough that he could be ensured that they would help him reach his goal of suicide. A couple days before he was planning to take them, he received several phone calls and visits from his comedian friends. Those visits helped change his outlook on the entire situation. The laughter that his friends brought him enabled him to start to believe he can deal with what has happened to him. A year later, he is dealing with the reality everyday and is happy to be alive.

Mark Curry is a popular comedian that rose to fame through the stand-up comedy ranks. He eventually landed a role as Mr. Cooper on the Mr. Cooper Show. The comedy became an instant hit and enabled Curry to be known on a wider mainstream level. Curry has since appeared on several other comedy shows and continues to do stand-up around the country.
