The avertisedment read: Joel Siegel Presents Andrew Adamson & The Chronicles of Narnia with Joel Siegel & Andrew Adamson. All right I'll bite, I thought to myself. It isn't everday you get to see a movie before it's released.

The Film

Director Andrew Adamson’s five year project Narnia is a fantastical tale filled with discovery, betrayal, unity and love. This movie, while as true to the book as possible, has a few of Adamson's creative additions. The storyline, consists of four children being sent to a relation's home because of a war in England. The Youngest, Lucy discover the portal to Narnia, a magical world of talking real and mythical creatures. A prophecy, an evil witch and so much more. This is a family film for ever member of the family. Their is plenty of action, realistic special effects and incredible drama scenes. My recommendation? Run don't walk to see this movie! Its a hit.

Interview Fun Facts

  • The story of the Witch, the Lion and the Wardrobe is Andrew’s childhood memories & C.S. Lewis’ Novel come to life. Having read the series at age eight and sporadically all his life Adamson stated that before he began filming he wrote down everything he could remember about the books before reading them over again. “Each time I re-read the books there would be something else that I wanted to add to the film”.

  • While everything ran smoothly throught the production Adamson and his team did face a few challanges. The most challanging of them all... casting the roles of Peter (William Moseley), Susan(Anna Popplewell), Lucy(Georgie Henley) and Edmund(Skandar Keynes). Together they saw a total of near 5,000 potential candidates before making a selection. “I knew as soon as I saw each child that they were who I was searching for. Although, casting the role of Edmund took longer than the others, they’re brilliant. I wish they could have been here.”

  • Harry Gregson-Williams composed the music for Narnia as well as Shrek 1 & 2, Armageddon, Kingdom of Heaven, Bridget Jones. *This CD would make a great stocking stuffer.*
