In September I purchased a brand new computer. As soon as it was delivered, out of the box and hooked up, we were online. We had, had a computer before, and were online when we had it, but it was an older computer and slow as a dinosaur so when we got our new one we were amazed at how fast it was. I wanted to see how my old high school friends were, and at the time knew nothing of myspace so I went directly to classmates.com where I had an account before, and signed up for their lowest 3 month plan, found my old friends, emailed them and waited for them to email me back.

Weeks went by before I gave up and decided that they didn't want to have anything to do with me; I mean if they did wouldn't they email my classmates account? Around this same time my husband recorded a song with a hip hop artist named Chris Complete. I had never heard the song and wanted to listen to it. He told me to look it up on Chris's myspace page.

I had heard of myspace, but hadn't checked it out because I thought it was just for teenagers, I mean what do I need a webpage for? Well in order for me to hear his song I had to be a member of myspace. So I filled out their questions, hastily typed a profile and in minutes I was listening to my husbands song. Then I logged off the computer and didn't think about it again until a few days later.

I was going through my email and saw a email with the subject Pacer Bryant would like to be added as one of your friends. What? I had been trying to get a hold of this guy on classmates for years, unsuccessfully I might add and there he was on myspace. I accepted him as a friend the sent him and email with my phone number and we have been in constant contact ever since. In the month to come I would be contacted by several of my high school friends all through myspace. It is the best place to connect, and best of all it is free.
