Theme Parks Located Throughout Pennsylvania

Pennsylvania has been known as the Keystone State since 1802, based in part upon its central location among the original Thirteen Colonies. Pennsylvania has several places of interest such as famous landmarks, restaurants, and numerous theme parks and activities. There are several well-known theme parks throughout Pennsylvania that are open for business in the warm months of summer.

Del Grosse's Amusement Park is located on Route 220, Tipton, PA. Del Grosse's is nestled in the Allegheny Mountains of Central Pennsylvania. Fred Del Grosse opened the theme park back in 1946. The park has a great deal to offer including rides such as, Wacky Worm, Crazy Mouse, Free Fall, Sea Dragon, and of course the traditional Ferris Wheel. The Altoona Tipton Speedway is located within close proximity to the amusement park. Del Grosse's serves some of the best food around including Murfs Potato Salad, roast beef, pizza, and baked beans. Beginning in June every Wednesday is the Spaghetti dinner special. In addition, special buffets can be arranged for groups of fifty or more. There is a miniature golf course located on the park grounds. Admission to the park is $12.95 for adults, and $10.95 for children. An additional fee of $3 will be charged for use of the golf course.
