A Colorado River Adventures Park

As you can see from my other articles, we're heading south along Interstate 5 on our 1^st odyssey ever in our motorhome. We've found some very nice resorts and some that don't quite equal the better ones; but comfortable and nice just the same. Please read my other articles on other RV resorts. They all seem to offer different activities but they all have provided the necessary amenities. The one I'm going to talk about today is a Colorado River Adventures Park resort where members of the RPI Preferred club can stay.

Emerald Cove Resort is located in Earp, California but we really couldn't find Earp. I'd say its location is more in Parker than Earp. If you're coming from Los Angeles, you turn at Desert Center going straight 90 miles to Emerald Cove Resort. The address is 2715 Parker Dam Road. DON'T FORGET THE PARK OPERATES ON MOUNTAIN TIME even though it's on the west side of the river. I missed a few of the activities because I wasn't aware of this.

Emerald Cove Resort has the longest improved beach on the Colorado River. There's over one mile of pure sandy shoreline and palm trees that stud the campsites. We took our little rubber boat on the river and entered many channels winding in and out of the river which had some beautiful homes built right up to the river channels. It's truly something to see. Don't miss it if you have a little boat along with you. Fishing is available along with water skiing, boating, of course, along with rock hounding and off-road races nearby. You can lounge around their large covered pools. Yes, there are two of them with the open bar between the two pools. There's happy hours and very reasonable prices on their meals.

The resort IS one of my favorites!! We can't wait to return. We found the people to be extremely friendly and fun to spend some time with chatting, singing at the open bar and/or any of the activities offered in the clubhouse. I even sang karaoke and had the best time ever. It's truly a memorable resort.
