Ah, the radio. The last free form of entertainment. We listen to the tunes through the car radio on the FM dial without thinking where they come from. Teens call in to FM radio shows more than any other age group.

What about the radio shows on the AM stations? Believe it or not, millions of people nationwide tune in on a daily basis to shows hosted by the likes of Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Howard Stern.

Teen Trend Magazine had the opportunity to interview another radio talk show giant, Mark Levin. Mark told us about his school career, and what steps he took to end up where he is today.

TTM: You have an extensive resume: Constitutional Lawyer, Best Selling Author, Former Chief of Staff to the Attorney General of the United States, the list goes on and on. How did you end up as a national radio show host?

Mark: I have been what I call a "professional talk radio listener" since I was about 12 or 13 years old. I would listen to all kinds of radio hosts. I would fall asleep listening to them on the radio. And I would call into some of their shows. When I was about 16, I harassed the big local talk station in Philadelphia (WCAU) to let me actually host a show just for an hour one day, and they finally relented. I wasn't very good, but it was a blast. Despite going on to college and then law school, and pursuing me legal career, I continued my intense interest in radio.

Some 12 years ago, from my perch at Landmark Legal Foundation, I began sending constitutional and legal information to Rush Limbaugh, who eventually appointed me "F. Lee Levin - and head of his legal division." We have been good friends since. A few years later, Sean Hannity's path crossed with mine - during the Clinton impeachment years as I recall - and we became fast friends. In fact, Sean encouraged me to get into hosting.
