Has Bald Britney Spears Officially Lost It?

On the night of Feb. 16, Britney Spears showed up at a Sherman Oaks, Ca. tattoo parlor with the Skinhead O'Connor look. On her next appearance on Saturday Night Live, maybe Spears will tear up a picture of the Pope to complete the comparison to the one hit wonder of the early 90's. Britney got a tattoo of lips on her wrist, I don't remember what the other was, I'm not going to waste that much time reading about Britney Spears.

It's bad enough writing about it, I suppose. I just can't resist when a froo-froo Pop Princess so drastically alters her looks, which, in my opinion, are the main reason any of us every heard of her. Without the long blonde locks and a couple of other features, which have probably been surgically enhanced despite her claims of a "growth spurt" a few years back, Britney Spears would probably be working in a strip joint somewhere near Kentwood, La.

I'm sure there will be those who claim it is some sort of feminist statement and applaud her for it. Others will say it's no one's business what Britney Spears or any other celebrity does, and to some extent they would be right. However, she and others have covered up a lack of talent with pin up girl looks for a long time and Spears has used the press and public to get to the top, so at best it would be bad form for her, Lindsey Lohan, or any of the other "celebutants" to bite the hand that has fed them for so long.

You can't have things both ways, feeding off the trough of public attention and yet having total privacy , so when Britney Spears inevitably whines about lack of privacy or photographers following her around, my question is: what do you expect when you flash your pantyless crotch at them or shave your head after spending only 24 hours in rehab?
