MIllions of Dollars Embezzeled from the Tennessee Valley Authority
Culture of Theft Has Embroiled the TVA in Scandal
In a report released on January 20, 2009 and made public last week the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA), the largest public utility in the United States of America, has found that rampant and flagrant credit card abuse has been skyrocketing as oversight provided by Approving Officials looked the other way.The TVA VISA credit card procurement program was created in 1995 to help streamline operations but has become the gateway for hundreds of employees to abuse the system, making a tremendous amount of purchases for purely personal use, much of it going on right under the noses of officials who were entrusted with overseeing and auditing the program.
