Wrestling Society X Episode 4 Will Not Be Aired
Wrestling Society X is assuring fans that the show is not being cancelled and only the 4th episode has been pulled from the air.
The incident in question involves one wrestler blowing a fireball into another wrestler's face. Many fans argue that the stunt has been used by wrestling promotions for over 30 years and that it isn't as bad as some of the other upcoming stunts, one of which will include a tank full of piranhas.
Fans are concerned that the storylines will not make any sense when MTV airs the fifth episode on Tuesday, February 27th and the fact that all of the episodes for the entire season have already been taped. There is now no way to change the storylines in future episodes where the incident may have been mentioned or showed, which may cause even more confusion to fans.
Wrestling Society X is a wrestling promotion that is presented as a secret society of wrestlers that meet at the Wrestling Society X Bunker to fight. The pilot of the show was taped February 10th, 2006 and all of the wrestlers who participated were required to sign a contract. The contract included the agreement that they would come back for tapings of future episodes if the show was ever picked up by MTV.
Wrestling Society X was indeed picked up by MTV and even though the show was new it quickly built a stable of fans. Fans believe that the show could be perfect if given the time and room to experiment. WSX is a half hour show that airs every Tuesday, directly opposite the second half of ECW on the Sci-Fi Channel.
Even though WSX only has a 30-minute show every week and has also been accused of being a spotfest, it has shown itself to be a legitimate competitor to WWE's new ECW brand. It's even being said that it is more like the original ECW than the new vision presented by Vince McMahon.
