So, you need some extra cash for clothes, snacks, and other necessities, and you're only a tween? Follow some of the tips below to get some of that extra money needed, and quick!

- Help your neighbors with some extra chores they might not have time for. These include mowing their lawn, watering their plants, walking their dog(s), washing their cars, babysitting their children, they name it!

- Ask your parents for a raise in your allowance. Have good reasons for wanting the raise, such as mall-money, for games, for electronics. Make sure all of your chores are well done before holding this mini-meeting with your parents. Why would they give you a raise if you can't even accomplish your basic chores?

- Take part of a day or even better the whole day to clean your room and your house. This will get you a nice tip from your parents and help you find some unwanted, old junk. 'Why would I want JUNK?', you ask? For a yard sale of course! Who knows, maybe someone else may need your old cooking spoon, or a little kid may want your big old Winnie the Pooh stuffed character! Put all your junk together to see what you have to work with. Thoughtfully price each item, expecting lower offers from your customers. Plan out your yard sale with the details, like when the yard sale will be, what the weather will be on that day, design some posters and fliers, and maybe call a friend over to help you out. Your friend can bring some of his or her junk along too!

- Right next to your yard sale, make a 'Refreshments Stand' with some homemade cookies, soda, iced tea, candy and lemonade. Be sure to make your prices reasonable if you want any business.

- You could put on a show for the little kids on your street or in your neighborhood. Make the prices about 2 dollars per child, and parents get in free. Again, next to it make another 'Refreshments Stand' next to the show area. Have popcorn, candy, soda, and maybe even souvenirs!

I wash my parent's cars, read chapter books, and get a weekly allowence of $5 for money. I usually get $3 to $5 for washing their cars and $3 per book. For me that's three sweet ways to earn extra money to get my Blackberry Curve cell phone and to get Christmas money.

Good ideas. My daughters (14 & 15) go to my parents' house on weekends and babysit foster kids while my mom cleans or they clean while my mom watches the kids. Just putting forth a little effort teens can make money. AC doesn't pay unless you are 18 though

I'm emailing this list to my brothers so they stop thinking that my purse is a limitless ATM.
