Looking for Daycare for your little ones can be one of the most stressful things a parent can go through. It is very hard to leave your child with a stranger. On the news there are quit a few stories of children being injured or sadly even killed, because the care taker was not paying attention, or
not qualified enough to know how to handle multiple children. Leaving your child with someone even if you know the person for the first time is very hard. When you decide to look for Daycare here is a how to guide for finding the perfect Daycare. These are listed in no particular order.
#1
One of the most important things is that you need to meet with the Daycare provider in person, and most definitely do not decide over the phone. Looks can be very deceiving. Check out where your little one is going to be for the majority of the day. If the house is dirty then it is highly likely that there are numerous germs around, and you do not want your little one to be sick all of the time.
#2
Check on how many kids the Daycare provider is watching at one time. Does this exceed the limit of what your state says someone can have under his or her care at one time? If there are multiple kids it is very hard to keep track of them especially if the provider is attending to the needs of another child. This is when most accidents can occur.
#3
Is the provider licensed with the State that you live in? Most States require that the Provider be licensed or at least registered with the state. If they are licensed or registered this will allow you to claim the daycare fees on your taxes up to $3000.00 per calendar year. Are they certified in CPR, incase something were to happen they can quickly respond. Do they have a degree? If they do they might be able to better educate your child.
#4
The location of the provider can have a big impact on your time and money. You do not want to use a provider that is 30 minutes away from your house, and in the opposite direction of your job
