To make a Birch Branch Cork Board You Will Need:
4 Birch Branches
Power Drill
½ inch drill bit
Sheet of pine Plywood
Sheet or roll of corkboard
Spray Adhesive
Scissors or exacto knife
Tape measure
Twine or leather shoe laces
Now, the first set is to measure how long your Birch Branch is. You and do this simple Rustic Cabin Décor project with any sized Birch Branch. If you can not find any birch branches if you do not have a yard, then try checking out your local plant nurseries. They may have sources for buying some of this beautiful and unique wood!
Now, have you sheet of plywood cut into a square that is about three inches linger and wider than your Birch Branch are long. So, if your Birch Branch is 30 inches long, then you will want your plywood square to be 33 inches by 33 inches.
Now, cut out your sheet for corkboard to 33 inches by 33 inches, or whatever sizes your plywood square is.
If you have any leftover corkboard, then you can cut strips to glue onto the edge of your plywood board. Just measure the length and width, cut the corkboard and glue with the following directions.
Now, lay you sheet of cork board out on a flat surface. Lightly spray it with a good quality spray adhesive, the kind that come in an aerosol can. You could also use a wood glue if you want.
Now, place your corkboard on the plywood sheet. Line the edge up and press it into place.
