Baby Shoe Lamp

This Baby Shoe lamp is the perfect way to display your child's baby shoes as they outgrow them. Baby Shoes are so darling and sweet and best of all they lend themselves well to this lamp project!

You can make the cutest little lamp out of a Baby Shoes. If you are preparing a nursery, then try buying new baby shoes that you think are cute and turning them into this lamp.

In general you can find great Baby Shoes at almost any children's clothing store, baby store, and even super centers.

Be sure to buy a lamp kit that uses a small chandelier type bulb. This will only act as accent light!

You can buy a small accent light lamp kit at almost any arts and craft stores as well as at most hardware store. Generally you should expect to pay about $10 to $15 for the lamp kit. You need to provide your own small accent lampshade, light bulb, and lamp base!

To Make a Lamp Out of Baby Shoes You Will Need:

Baby Shoes (3 - 7)

Power Drill

Drill Bit

Lamp Kit

The first step is to take your power drill, with the drill bit, and drill a small hole in the baby shoes. You want this hole to be running through the inside middle of the shoe, straight through wheel the foot would go and out the bottom of the bay shoe.

You will need to do this on each baby shoe you will be using.

In the end you will be stacking each baby shoe on top of each other to create a vertical column of baby shoes.

This is where the electrical cord will be coming out of your baby shoes.

Now, for the base of this baby room lamp you will need a piece of wood or wood plaque cut to about 5X5 inches. You can buy these at any arts and craft store.

I recommend painting the wood white or some pastel color.

Install you lamp kit follow their instructions. The could of the lamp should run through each baby shoe and finally into the lamp base.

Each lamp kit product will be different and it is best to use their specific instructions. Run your electrical cord out of the hole in the bottom of your final baby shoe. On this shoe you will want to have the hole coming out the bottom be coming out of the back of the shoe. Use epoxy glue to glue this show to the wood plaque.

Add a light bulb and a small lampshade and you are set!
