A Product Review

Glade Scented Oil Candles do exactly what they advertise. They do fill the room with fragrance within minutes after lighting the candle. The candle holders are also beautiful and will add to the décor of almost any room.

Simply place one of the Glade Scented Candles into the specially made candle holders and it will remain in place with the magnetic action. The candles quickly melt into a pool of oil, which allows the fragrance to be dispersed throughout the room. The candle holders are glass with a metal warming plate. Each candle will burn for nearly three hours, before the oil disappears and the candle extinguishes itself. Users simply dispose of the remaining metal clip, once cooled, and the holder is left clean and ready to use again whenever desired.

Consumers can purchase Glade Scented Oil Candles with two types of holders. The first one is a standard bowl-like holder. Recently, Glade has released a second type of holder, which is sold as a set of three individual square holders of differing heights, called the Scented Oil Candles TRIO. With the TRIO, users can experiment and mix and match with differing fragrances to develop their own favorite scent.

Additional Glade Scented Oil Candle refills are sold in groups of three candles and come in six different scents (Clean Linen, Delicate Petals, Dewberry Dreams, Orchid Oasis, Pure Innocence, and Spiced Rose & Vanilla). All six scents smell great. Each scent is unique fragrance, not common with other candle and plug-in fragrance products. I have personally tried all six scents and would recommend the Dewberry Dreams or Spiced Rose & Vanilla.

Glade Scented Oil Candles really are great, but are a bit on the pricey side. The original starter sets are sold for about eight dollars and the TRIO package sells for around twelve dollars. A package of three refill candles will cost consumers between three and four dollars at most stores. Bottom line, consumers will receive approximately five hours of fragrance (three hours burn time plus two additional hours before the scent is hard to detect) per dollar.

I was thrilled with my first pack of Scented Candles in August 2008, but very disappointed with the refill pack since then. Only one candle was not a "dud"; the others stayed lit less than a minute and could not be relit. They are too expensive as it is, but throwing out most of a pack is prohibitive on my budget.

i've tried these several times, but the wick does not keep the flame. when i try to relite the candle it won't lite. please let me know how to KEEP THE FLAME BURNING!!!???

The wick burnt out for me too and barely burned the candle. Now I can't re-light the wick as it's too short - my batch is probably in the bad one too :(

I have used these daily because they are so great. But the last few packages I have gotten the wick burns out before it gets to the candle and there is only a teeny tiny wick there and then it won't stay lit. Kind of disappointing

I love these things! I only wish they lasted longer than 3 hours :(

They burn for about 3 hours. If you have to extingish it for some reason, you can relight it later.

Thanks for the information. I was wondering if they really lived up to the hype. Now I know I have got to try them.

Great review! I love scented candles, but I normally make my own. I have to say, though, Glade makes a wonderful product!
