Guide to Plus Size Prom Gowns and Dresses

I have always seen really beautiful prom gowns and dresses for petite women, but very few attractive dresses for the plus size ladies. The gowns and dresses I have seen in the past for plus size girls looked more like long sacks
with glitter and a big flower sown right smack dab in the middle of the gown or dress. Well, today is a new day ladies!
Today we have talented designers like JS Boutique, Maggy London and Adrianna Papell who offer the plus size ladies some very fashionable and elegant choices. I have seen these designers offer everything from flirty black flapper dresses to beautiful coral evening gowns and dresses with just the right hint of bling.
This month I'll be giving you some tips on shopping for prom dresses, but today it's all about the dresses themselves. I have highlighted some of my favorite selections that would be perfect to use for prom dresses. If you want full length, they got that, or perhaps you want something a little more flirty and fun, they got that too! They had so many designs to choose from that I decided to narrow it down to three different styles for you to consider. I found the styles to be sophisticated yet fresh and the prices were the icing on the cake!
1. JS Boutique Mesh Top Dress - This beautiful full length gown comes in a soft ivory color and is sheer mesh, pleated at the V-neck bodice and ruched at the midriff. The dress is form fitting at the bust, but free flowing at the hip which makes it extremely flattering on fuller figured girls. The dress has a back zipper and is made out of lined polyester. 2. Maggy London Chiffon Dress with Sash - This beautiful chocolate silk dress will leave you speechless! The deep surplice neckline tops a flirty easy going style. This dress is cut from fluid silk chiffon, with a shirred charmeuse sash that slims the waist and gives it a very elegant twist. The halter top of the dress buttons behind the neck and at the waist you'll find a hook and eye closure. The dress is form fitting at the bust and free flowing at the waist.
