If you want to wrap your lips around the best-tasting chocolate treat you've ever had, follow these simple instructions and learn how to make homemade deep fried chocolate candy bars!
Tools You'll Need:
Deep Fryer---I use a Presto® Fry Baby. It's the perfect size to deep-dry small servings.
Slotted Metal Spoon
Mixing Bowl
Mixing Spoon
Paper Towels
Small Paper Plates
Gather Together:
Wet Ingredients:
Egg
Cup of milk
1 tablespoon Vegetable Oil
Oil for the Deep Fryer
Dry Ingredients:
1 cup of All-Purpose White Flour
1 teaspoon Baking Powder
1/4 teaspoon Salt
To make homemade deep fried chocolate candy bars, you'll also need four or five of your favorite chocolate candy bars. They'll need to be placed in the refrigerator at least an hour before you deep fry them. Or, pop them in the freezer part of your refrigerator for 30 minutes beforehand.
Directions:
1. Set-up your deep fryer according to the manufacturer's instructions.
2. Place the wet ingredients in the mixing bowl and stir them together well.
3. Add the dry ingredients into the bowl and mix them together with a wire whisk until smooth.
4. When the oil in the deep fryer is hot, place a chocolate candy bar into the bowl of batter. Remove it with the slotted spoon. Then, carefully drop it into the deep fryer. Watch the candy bar carefully! You'll want it to deep fry for less than a minute, just until the batter has turned a golden brown.
5. To make homemade deep fried chocolate candy bars, use the slotted metal spoon to scoop it up out of the oil.
6. Place the candy bar on a paper towel on a small paper plate.
7. Let each chocolate candy bar cool for a minute or two before you serve them.
8. Enjoy!
